Very impressed with the quality of care and customer service at the Breast Center. My doctor spent at least 45 minutes with me going over my history and risks, explaining everything. The nursing staff are also really kind and professional. Compared to my old imaging experience this was next level. Highly recommend!
I was left in post-op at 11 am. I had a two hr spinal surgery that started 9am and ended at 11am. . This was my 3rd back surgery so not my first rodeo. Previous 2 were in Atlanta. 8:30pm ish I was STILL in post-op recovery bc I was hypotensive. The nurse was unable to get me stabilized the entire day. The nurse refused to get cardiac involved from 11 am until mid evening for medication to increase by BP. I was laying there sobbing while the nurse was playing games on her cell phone. At one point she said to me “I can’t believe all my friends are texting me right me while I’m working!” I was sobbing in agony from not having pain medication for multiple hours from a huge surgery. During my stay in the hospital they were never able to get my pain under control. I explained one pain medication never worked in my two previous surgeries. So after 2-3 days they finally switched to morphine which worked in last two surgeries in Atlanta. We informed the pre-op team of all of this. We also explained that me being on daily pain meds I am difficult to manage my pain. My doctor wanted to give me Tramadol which does nothing when I take much stronger medications from my pain clinic. NOBODY WOULD LISTEN TO ME. I also found the nurse going thru my personal belonging. I was on my cell phone explaining to my husband what was happening. She was standing outside my hospital room eaves dropping then she had the nerve to come back in and in while I was on my phone crying and yell at me about listening to my private conversation. Also this hospital violated my HIPPA RIGHTS. I never signed a medical release to speak with my other physicians treating my chronic back pain. Obviously I don’t mind then them communicating to have the best care possible but HIPPA RIGHTS are there to protect the patient. These are just a few things from my experience. Every time they had to move me to use stand up commode (toilet) I was screaming out loud which the entire floor could hear. Please think twice before having neurosurgery at this hospital.
I was admitted via ER and then was hospitalized for over a week following my intake. This was during end of summer of 2020 so Covid pandemic was still an ongoing thing. Everyone, from janitors to doctors (nurses, social workers, security guards, counselors, etc) were truly great. They did everything they could to make my stay there as pleasant as a hospital visit can be. I felt totally safe (albeit be it still worrying at times just because) knowing that all precautionary measures to minimize possible transmision of the virus were implemented and were followed (staff and patients wearing masks/ surfaces disinfected/ hand sanitizer available at multiple locations, etc). One thing that wasn't that great was food, but then again this wasn't a hotel stay.
Lied to and left out in the cold after being a patient for years!!!! Still waiting for a phone call from the orthopedic department. I will not blame any doctor but the PA and office staff. Injections for my knees were authorized October 8th. I was called once in this time and told I would be called shortly. To this day, I have not been called. I have suffered enough and have started the process to look for another doctor. I am saddened and disgusted by my treatment after so many years!!!!
I came in with a positive covid infection. I stated that and they took me into the ER waiting area like nothing did not separate me. Told me to sit down while I waited to be seen. There was absolutely nowhere I could sit that wasn’t right next to other patients waiting to be seen. The fact that I was more worried than the staff about exposing anyone is telling and worrisome. A lot of elderly in the waiting area I tried my best to sit in a corner away from everyone although not really any room to do that, I was totally shocked.
