Best Contemporary Art Gallery in New Jersey! Representing emerging and mid-career artists Proto Gallery has smart and diverse exhibitions and programming. Chelsea perfect exhibition space, a must see gallery space for all!

Proto Gallery is an amazing space for solo & group shows in Hoboken, NJ. High ceilings and an open lay out make it easy to feel comfortable at their well attended openings. Shows in 2015 -2016 have been well curated with attention to detail in all of the installation decisions. These factors only help the already stellar cast of artists that have shown there.

Proto Gallery is Hoboken's premiere contemporary art gallery. This large, sprawling industrial space is a great venue to see quality emerging and mid-career artists in a cool and down to earth environment. Every show I've been to has been curated with fresh and innovative work, on par with the hip and trendy vibes of Mahattan's LES and Brooklyn's Bushwick. A+++
