CVS

I have never reviewed a pharmacy, but the service was so abysmal, and it prevented me from taking critical medication on time.nnI went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription and they insisted that I did not have a script on file. I showed them the confirmation message from my doctor and still they denied having received the request. They asked me to wait in a different line just so I could ask a simple question to confirm their address. I watched that person at the drop off counter be so rude to the older woman in front of me, and then in turn, he was equally rude to me saying he couldn't answer my question (is this the CVS on 1195 Boylston?) without taking my info first. After spending 5 minutes repeatedly mistyping my name, he then confirmed I was at the right location. I asked him to please check again, because I have the confirmation from my doctor. He supposedly checked but no dice and I got more rude comments from him. I went to work and called my doctor. They confirm that the CVS at 1195 received my script on Dec. 1, and to let them know if the pharmacy gives me trouble. I called back the pharmacy, and after 10 minutes on the phone asking them to please check again, they finally confirmed that I have a script ready. I now have to go back to pick up when I can.nnI get it that meds may not be ready on time, or there could be a miscommunication hindering the pickup process, but the way they treated me was so demeaning I actually teared up in my car because I felt so frustrated. I work in customer service myself, and I try to be so kind to everyone, but the staff at the pharmacy literally could not have cared less that their lack of interest in helping find the right script actually throws me out of whack in a major way. Would not recommend. This encounter happened December 3rd, 2020 around 9:15 am.

Terrible customer service, employees are over worked, not enough employees to service the long line of customers. I called to make an appt for a flu shot for an elderly person, I was told to go on line. I went online. 1195 Boylston not showing to schedule flu shot. You need to hire help, get new management. Elderly people need your help. They should not be told to go online. HELPPPP

No self checkout, walked up to the checkout counter with no one in the store and the employee at the register was just sitting on his phone scrolling/texting. I was waiting for him to call me forward but I just walked up and put my items on the counter and he didn’t say anything... rang me up and gave me my receipt and whispered have a nice day.. what a joke. Also they didn’t have the one facewash I wanted so that didn’t help. Avoid

This review pertains to the pharmacy only, not the other areas of the store.nnIt’s unfortunate that one star is the lowest this rating system can go because zero is a justifiable rating for this pharmacy operation. It’s not the individuals because they’re kind and hardworking, but the pharmacy appears to be drastically understaffed. When told a prescription will be ready tomorrow at 1pm, and on the day at 4pm it’s not ready and will be 20 minutes that’s sometimes understandable. At 630pm when told it’s still not ready and will be 15 minutes that’s suspect. This wasn’t the first time, and hence the desire for a zero star rating.

You have to wait an hour to speak to someone on the phone.
