McGuirk's Ocean View Hotel

We had a great dinner at Mguiricks Labor Day weekend. Thank you to the chef for making me the best buttered ud83eudd9e roll I 've had. The waitress Meghan was excellent also and We cant wait to come back next time we at the beach.☘☘☘

Terrible service. We were seated on a day that wasn't busy but waited for over a half hour without any wait staff approaching us. We flagged a waiter (who was incredibly rude and unmasked) down to order drinks, then waited another half hour without the drinks coming out before we got up and left. The entire time tables around us had consistent service despite coming in after us. Save your time; I would say save your money but you'll probably leave before someone asked you what you want

Simply,a disappointing place. Not staying here was an easy decision. Travel multiple hours and find a traffic pattern change. Call the front desk, who directs you to park behind the establishment. He, Tom, said to call when we were there, he'd come out and direct us in. Well...he didn't come out , and we were blocked in by works trucks in the gravel behind the building. There is no signage on the back of the building to tell guests they've arrived. Check in was slow. We were directed by Tom to park in their lot on the next corner behind the place, assuring us there would be plenty of parking. There were no available spots. More than three reserved guest spots had work Vans and untagged cars. Yet another call to our contact, Tom. Finally we get to the room . The door was already open...the door had a list taped to it of unfinished tasks for this room including a mirror and toilet tissue holder. Upon entering the room we saw the smoke detector was covered in plastic and taped over. Going to the beach isn't about the room you're staying in, but this was not ready for guests. Tom took great offense with my questions regarding this room and demanded I put on a happy face while on vacation, . I certainly didn't feel like smiling while being shouted at by Tom in the hallway outside of the room. Not staying at this place was an easy decision.

Food was great! However the service was Eh. And do not get any of the alcohol!! They put them in those tiny free water cups and charged us $5... I know beach prices are more but that was absolutely insane. Yes that picture that shows oj was supposed to be a mimosa and we were charged $5 for that sip.

I have never been more upset with the prices, food quality, & drink quality. I have never been to this establishment before and I’ll never go again! I was charged $12 for the smallest kiddie size margarita that had almost no alcohol in it and filled half way with ice! I should have looked around before I ordered a drink because they were all that small. Lobster roll was plentiful except it was dry with no mayo. I get that Covid hurt the establishments but to serve food and drinks that expensive and not be satisfied is absolutely wrong in so many ways.
