Wonderful hike. We parked in the parking lot east of the notch near a picnic area with an old cemetery. The early part of the hike was definitely the steepest but it actually gets easier as you get to the top. Follow the yellow tree markers all the way to the top.nWe took our time, 3 hours total round trip. Could probably be done in under 2 hours.
This is a short walk for a fantastic view. There were a few parts I couldn't catch my breath but it's been awhile since I hiked last. It was absolutely worth the three hour drive I took to get there. I'm also pretty sure you can see Canada from here but don't quote me! That's just what I was told.
The trail we did wasn't too difficult, however I guess there is a shorter trail that is much steeper. The view was stunning if you are brave enough to go out on the ledge!
Nice short little hike. Steep in some parts but well worth it in the end.
