One of the best hikes in upstate New Hampshire. Best view for the fall colors. The hike is about a mile that’s what my Apple watch said although I read it’s about 1.5 miles one way on a different app. There are two hikes one is very steep which we climbed a few steps and returned back and took the other hike which is easy and not that steep. The second hike is a bit steep initially but as you get closer it gets flat. The table rock may be crowded and you may a small queue to get to the end of the table rock for pictures. The queue is just so that everyone is safe. Overall a good hike to burn those calories with a great view

Pretty dope not gonna lie. 2 approaches, the one by the Dixville sign is a vertical sprawl and should be listed advanced. The other one is pretty accessible and suitable for most hikers.

A hidden gem! Markedly less busy than the other major notch's in New Hampshire, the notch is a narrow canyon with cliff walls extending about 700 feet above the base. There are hikes on either side, Tabletop rock with parking to the west of the lake is on the south side and the most majestic. There is also a hike along the north side that is lesser known and you park on the east side of the lake. Finally on the south east end is a ravine and Huntington falls. Also a good place to see moose in the morning.

Super great hike. Not a distance hike, but you have three ways up to the great rock of Dixville notch. Like all, but east trail and the shortest but very steep sectionice little challange.Grew up in area, but to take time to get that am workout. Up there in October where there was a line of people waiting to get onto the rock. Never seen so many people up there since I have been going there. But since covid no matter where hike it's been very crowded.I kind of get people are getting out because I think gyms are closed or not fully open. Also social media gives people access to to the world of hiking, people that haven't hiked before.nAnyway that' my rant, only because I hate over crowded trails. Getting so you have to nite or early am hike which ain't such a bad idea.

Two picnic tables under lovely colorful trees. Two waterfall streams.
