Oak Aven Acres LLC

I stayed here for a few months while working in town. The owners are helpful and easy to talk with. The park is quiet and close to town. This is one of the few places that stays open all winter!

It's a nice quiet little park with level sites. It is kept clean and both the electric an water pressure is good. Price is reasonable. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is due to being on a dirt road, gets a little muddy with rain.

Very quiet, off the beaten path, RV park

Came for the eclipse and the proprietors couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. A great Jam session put on the night before, hay ride to and from Homestead...nnTo make it even better, prices weren't inflated. I talked to a few other people there who would have paid more. Thanks for the great time. Would recommend Oak Aven and Beatrice NE to anyone.

We have been full time rving for around two years and have stayed in a large number of private, state and federal parks. In all that time we would say we have found maybe two or three near 5 star locations. Although I was skeptical about the almost 5 star rating for this park, we decided to give it a try. When we arrived at the campground we honestly thought we were at the wrong location. It is a gravel lot, with two rows of RV spaces. Our unit would only comfortably fit into one of the last spaces at the end. Regretfully it was next to the raw sewage accumulator and the open trash dumpster. While we did not smell sewage, not much visual appeal. We could smell the dumpster, however. The hookups were in good working order, the rates were reasonable and the owner seemed nice- though we had only a few short interactions. This is a self pay setup, with a drop box near the entrance. The tent area had more appeal and had grass spaces, but the trash can was overflowing, with trash on the ground. There was a porta pottie in the RV area and that was pretty much it. The long term occupants seemed nice, but on the night of our stay someone partied outside until 2 in the morning. Not much sleep that night. This park is no where near a 5 rating by any stretch of the imagination, but It is fine for an overnight stay if you can find a spot not looking out at the raw sewage area and your neighbors don’t party outside most of the night.
