My wife and I rented bicycles from Routes and it was a great experience. The guy at the front desk (I forgot his name) was super helpful, he made the rental incredibly easy. Being locals, this was the first time using a rental shop and we were surprised to learn how much we don’t know about the bike trails. He gave us the rundown on the bosque trail which I highly recommend. The shop is centrally located relative to the bosque trail. He gave us a map and gave us all the sightseeing spots including the best lookouts, places with restrooms, and little tidbits of info that made the ride that much more fun. Highly recommended and amazing customer service!
Routes bicycles did a fantastic job with our group that went on a bicycle wine tour from downtown Albuquerque to a lovely winery, along the river, through a park, and then back into downtown. I highly recommend it as a way to spend an afternoon OUTDOORS being active, seeing the sights, and feeling safe. They provided everything, including helmets, waters, and bikes. and worked with us in advance on a fun itinerary that was customizable for our group's activity level. We had an AMAZING time and Brad Frye was the best. Highly recommend this bike shop and their employees.
This is a beautiful little bike shop in a historic building on a quiet side road. I rented a cruiser here to ride along the river, and the staff were extremely helpful and provided all sorts of suggestions for my ride. This is the kind of local shop that makes you love the ride even more and feel like you are part of the community.
Routes is an amazing business. Great bikes to rent and wonderful maintenance services. Haven't tried their bike tours but the people on the tours smile a lot.
I traveled to NM without a bike and rented one from Routes. They put my pedals on it for me for free. They showed me maps of good rides around ABQ and Santa Fe. Super knowledgeable, super helpful, and really nice. Rent a bike from them.
