I used to be able to call in a prescription to my local pharmacy. Many of my scripts were free, others were dirt cheap. They were filled within 5-10 minutes every time.nnNow I am forced to use Beaumont Pharmacy Solutions. It takes forever to get a script. They won't even fill it without calling you first. If you miss that call they will not fill it until you call them back. I was out of refills last week. Called in on Saturday. They said no more refills but we will call your doctor and get the refills taken care of. I heard nothing for a full week. Now I am out of pills. So I call, waited on hold for 45 minutes, and finally left a message after nobody answered the phone during business hours. Got a call back and was told that my prescription was being filled. Later that day, missed a call from them just before 5pm saying there was a problem with my prescription. They were closed for the weekend by the time I received that message and called back. Now I will be out of blood pressure meds for the entire weekend and I will have to call them on Monday to see why they can't put a few pills into a bottle within 5 minutes like my old pharmacy. They are terrible.

It's not bad for maintenance medications, but there's a very narrow window between when the doctor will authorize refills and when the refill will actually arrive. Absolutely terrible for starting new medications - takes about ten days for medications to arrive, which is far too long in many cases.

It is not the pharmacy’s fault that Beaumont staff have to use this service for monthly prescriptions. They need to revamp the system and allow certain things to be filled at a walk in pharmacy. It takes too long to get prescriptions that is a monthly supply rather than 3 months. I’m not talking about controlled substances. I’ve had them deliver my prescription to the wrong house twice! That is deplorable in my eyes. They need to have delivery people in call for emergency delivery over the weekends. They used to work weekends before the pandemic so I’m not sure why they haven’t reinstated that service.nAll in all the pharmacy staff are good at helping you out. Delivering to the wrong house and extended wait times needs to change.
