Walgreens District Office

I am very disappointed in the service. I tried calling the district office to no avail. My Dr. sent a prescription to the 4700 south and redwood road location, and I went to pick it up to find out they were closed (no communication with this). I was sent to the 7700 S Redwood Rd location and can’t pick it up their either because the other Walgreens doesn’t have it on their records. I need these today but no one is willing to help. Unfortunately I am stuck using this sub-par pharmacy due to my insurance policy.

I wish I could give 0 stars. They took over the Rite Aid in Murray, and assured me I could still get my prescriptions. I’ve been going to this Rite Aid for years before and never had one problem. Well, I’ve tried calling this “Walgreens” now for 3 days ( waited on hold for an hour without even talking to a real person), tired refilling my prescriptions online (said they aren’t “found”), and tried using the chat feature to get it sorted out, didn’t work. This is dangerous to be playing with peoples mental and physical health. If you are going to take a company over, please make sure to do it correctly. In order to get my prescriptions, I have to switch pharmacies. I won’t be using a Walgreens, which sucks because I was actually excited for this take over.

I am drafting this review on behalf of AJ, the pharmacy manager at the Walgreens on 21st So and 20th East in Salt Lake City. Kudos to you AJ!! YOU are awesome! My insurance company refused to fill an RX that was ordered by my doctor. They have NO RIGHT to disregard the instructions of my phyician. Due to AJ'S decency and compassion, and with great personal effort, he was able to honor my Dr's wishes and accomodate my desperate need. He is a SAINT!! I would reccommend this pharmacy to any, and everyone! Further, I will make it a personal priority to insure that insurance companies, and their greedy reign of terror will be out of business by the next election. Capitalism would be a viable form of economic structure were it not for the overarching greed and lack of competition in the marketplace. With such a significant marketshare and years of politicians who've been on the insurance lobbys" payroll for decades it may usher in another recession. The time is NOW for these barons of American health care, and sadly all their employees to join the vulnerable, the single, the women, the disabled and others who"ve fallen on hard times (largely thanks to greedy and ignorant bankers, flaky economists and corrupt politicians) so they too may join us in choosing between needed medications, food and rent! Wish I could see them stripped of their tailored Armani suits, all personal dignity and standing in the "soup line" with their innocent and hard working victims. We NEED single payer, socialized medicine if that's what it takes to rectify such corruption! We need those who work less time, lacking or wasting their hidden intellects while making more money than they could possibly spend with assets seized and living in 9X9 cages. This will give them plenty of time to reflect on their narcissistic, malignant self indulgence that has stolen the dignity, money and viable options for far too many people.
