Dr. Osama G. Galal, MD

When he took over for my other doctor in this facility I decided I would find someone closer to home, he was an hour from me. After moving into the area I reached out to try to reestablish and was told that he wouldn’t see me, not because I hadn’t been there in a while but because I had seen another primary care provider in the interim. Complete ignorance.

Dr Galal is an excellent Dr,he really cares about getting you better and back on your feet. The staff is also great, Debbie goes above and beyond to help you out which is so hard to find these days.

I never write reviews but decided I needed to because of the good experience. Today was my first time being in this office as I am a new patient and had never met Dr. Galal (I am new to the area) and I was very impressed! I had messed up my appointment date, and even though I was not scheduled for that day they kindly let me do a walk in. They called my name before I was even finished doing my initial paperwork, which was wonderful because in the past at other places I’d usually waiting forever in the lobby. Everything went really smoothly on my check-up and the whole staff was very pleasant to deal with. They asked if I needed a pap smear and I reluctantly said yes because I knew I needed one, and I am glad I went through with it. I have never had a male doctor before so I was really nervous. A female nurse came in during the pap smear and Dr. Galal made me feel very comfortable and assured during the process! Getting my blood drawn in the past has always seemed daunting as my veins don’t seem to cooperate, but the nurse who drew my blood there got it on the first prick and it was virtually painless, making it the smoothest blood sample I’ve ever had to get drawn. They were all super pleasant and I was in and out from a full physical examination in under an hour on my walk-in. I am very glad that I did my research on local doctors because so far I am very happy with the doctor I have chosen. Dr. Galal and his staff are experienced, efficient, and a great choice!

I really hate to share but this was the most uncomfortable visit I have ever had to a doctor's office. Other than the front office lady, the staff was rude and the doctor was arrogant. He asked very personal questions and even gave judgement on me being divorced. I didn't even feel like I was seen. I was rushed through like a Nascar pit stop and barely had a chance to speak. I had to ensure my referrals were being put in which I have not received any except the one for his allergist that is in the same building. He pushed me to see that doctor on the same day even though I insisted it would require a referral from my insurance the doctor was insistent that I could see him and rushed out to make sure he could pass me off. I guess they all wanted to be able to get an insurance claim in before I left. I asked for the office manager to call me to share my frustrations but never heard from her. I am changing doctors.

The staff went through some changes, and that made me uncomfortable for a bit. But, all seems to be going well there. The front desk receptionist, Debbie, now knows all the names in our family, and how we're connected...me and my grown daughter's and their families are also patients. Tangela (she's been there for years) is a wonderful nurse, and the very best phlebotomist you could find!!! I'll be devastated if she ever retires! Another reviewer didn't like that Dr Galal asked personal questions. On the contrary, I love the fact that he's invested in my family and our lives. He's never too personal, buy if he ever inquired to a point that I was uncomfortable I would have no problem telling him to mind his own business. He would laugh and it would be over. I love that he takes my concerns seriously, and is willing to look into things I may suggest about my health and wellness, ie: supplements, treatment plans, etc. He makes himself extremely available to his patients. It's rare to call the office, and not be offered an appointment for that day. I highly recommend him and his staff!
