Living & working in Maine, $30-$50 ,a day may seem reasonable to Tourists. Where are the locals not on vacation supposed to park for less than 2 Lobster Rolls?? Will not be going to pay the extortionate pricing.

Cheap, very convenient location being feet away from the sprawling walk and numerous gift-y type stores setup like a small village. From the parking lot you have significant visibility and can take really awesome pictures of the water and such. Easy access and beautiful view!

Crowded area, of course. However those who were working made it less hectic and restored order to a packed beach.

Great spot. I use a walker and the parking lot is perfect with two access ramps to the beach.
