Great friendly family owned and operated business. Brings you back to a day gone by. The way doing business should be like. A little disorganized. But that's part of the old time charmer. Been there many times. And will be back many more.

Back along in the early 80’s, living in Old Town then, I built a traditional plank and rib Grand Laker on a mold I made. The folks at Mallett’s, an older gentleman whose name is lost to the ages, figured he had a white cedar that would fit the bill. It certainly did, and now in the form of a 20 footer square stern, cruises Lake Louise in the Tazlina Basin of Southcentral Alaska for 30 years! Couple of 20 pound togue (lake trout here) have blessed and burnished the white cedar over the years. Let me just say thank you to Mallett’s. Good folks. Go see ‘em.
