Rumour Has It

I hate to leave a negative review, but the phone call and a text I got from the woman at the salon, sent me over the edge and really made me angry. I felt compelled to write this review in an honest way.nnI used this salon years and years ago and stopped going because every stylist gave me a different price for the same hair color/cut. From the reviews on here I am not alone.nnRecently I booked at above and beyond, but when I got their text to confirm it said they were inside rumor has it. So I tried to call and cancel but they never answer their phone. Finally I left a message at 11 AM on Thursday, to cancel my appointment on Friday.nnI got a call back from a girl at the salon, rumor has it, and the girl on the other line wanted to know the nature of my cancellation. I told her I couldn’t afford it anymore, And she gave me attitude like “OK” goodbye.nnThe truth was that this place is so unprofessional that I wouldn’t step foot in there for free. Her attitude was so catty I just can’t believe a business owner would let someone do that to a customer or potential customer. Then I got a text that said if I wanted to book again I need a deposit. LOL The text might as well say we don’t want you as a customer. It’s OK though, it just reinforces my original thoughts about this establishment.nnThe owner of this business should be embarrassed of themselves. And should definitely get their staff under control. This is not middle school. I canceled a day ahead of time and if their text messages were useful, you could reply and cancel. But you can’t. In my eyes this place is a joke.nnSo all your rude text messages, get you nowhere. What get you ahead is being polite and treating your customers with respect and understanding that stuff happens. There’s so much competition, hair salons need to stand out. Being kind is free and it’s easy. Look into itnnI got the best cut and best color at Marilyn Monroe Spa‘s in Bangor. Yep! I am that customer I have money to spend, but I demand good service and quality professionals doing my hair, nd I don’t mind driving to get it. Obviously I had to drive to get it.

Love this place and the staff! They go above and beyond for their clients. I have always had an awesome experience here and wouldn't go anywhere else. They are the only people I trust with my hair!

Mackenzie is horrible. She has no idea what she’s doing and kept telling me different prices

It was horrible! They told me a price on the phone and charged me $50 more after the services. The color and cut wasn’t what I asked for at all! When I said something, Jocelyn said, “No it is what you asked for”nUmmm when I receive a bob hair cut after I ask for a shoulder length, I have the right to say something. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LIKE HAVING NICE HAIR.

Absolutely DESTROYED a girls hair and offered no compensation when her hair fell out in mushy clumps. Mackenzie has moved to a different salon but the refusal of the owner to help is beyond unprofessional. Do not book an appointment here.
