We chose to have my father's funeral at Blackburn due to the tank outside and my father's love of history. The service provided by Reina was outstanding as well. In a time of deep sorrow, she provided support, understanding, and flexibility. Thank you Reina and the other Blackburn staff!

During the most difficult times of our life, burying our father, I felt the burdens of planning were lifted from myself and my mother and sister. Kathy eased our grief with her compassion and professional manor in all areas from the beginning. I would recommend this funeral home above all others in this area.

Had both my Dad's and Mom's funerals here. They did a great job. Everything went very smoothly and I had a great experience. Highly recommended.

Go somewhere else, anywhere else. We were told we could come an hour early to see my mom in private. Her visitation was at the church as well as the funeral service. We came 40 minutes early and the casket was still in the car. Thankfully there were two of the pallbearers there so they helped unload from the car to take into the church. We waited while they got things situated then went in for the private viewing. Her hands moved, if that’s not bad enough we then had to witness the woman grab her wrists and start shoving her hands together and down. That continued the entire time of the visitation, watching her go up to the casket and grab my mom’s wrists and start jamming her hands together. That’s an image that will never leave me. There was no one to usher people in so people didn’t know where to go or which way to come in. The woman from the funeral home was outside, on her phone a large part of the time instead of helping us tell people which way to go. The following day, there was a short period of time allotted for viewing then the service to follow. Without warning the two women from the funeral home walked up, flopped the small pieces of material that hung outside the casket into the casket and shut it. We were told we would be warned beforehand and be allowed to step out which we would have preferred. These images are now with me forever.
