Helzberg Diamonds

Went in for an issue with a neck less I bought for my wife. Peter and Kayla went above and beyond to help me out. Made a stressful situation much better. Will always go to them for my jewelry needs. Thanks again guys !

My review does not pertain to Helzberg Diamonds as a company, but specifically to the Crystal Lake location. I will never again put a piece of my jewelry in their hands.nnMy experience began when my diamond fell out of my solitaire engagement ring. After a close look by two associates, I was told that all of the prongs were in good condition. Similar to me, they were perplexed as to how the diamond suddenly fell out. Regardless, I was told that my diamond would be reset into the ring under the lifetime warranty. Two weeks later, I received a phone call that my ring was ready. Immediately after the associate handed me my ring, I noticed that it looked different. My first thought was that the diamond looked smaller, but upon closer inspection, I noticed the ring head was different. The associate then mentioned that they did, in fact, replace the ring head. (No one notified me that my ring head would need to be replaced, nor did they tell me until after I mentioned that it didn’t even look like my ring.) I handed the ring back to the associate and she told me that someone would call me first thing in the morning.nnOver the next week, I shared photos of my original ring and visited the store multiple times to discuss the issue. However, day after day, the assistant manager refused to acknowledge that there was any difference between my original ring head and the replacement. This was maddening, as it is evident that my original ring head showcased more of the diamond, whereas the metal on the replacement covered much more of the diamond. I find it both shocking and alarming that professionals working in the jewelry industry cannot recognize this discrepancy. Because of the refusal to acknowledge the problem, it was impossible to reach a solution. Our conversations went in circles and I grew increasingly frustrated. At this point, I asked for my ring to be shipped to the Gurnee Helzberg location because that is where my husband purchased the ring.nnWithin minutes of stepping foot in the Gurnee location, their store manager immediately identified the problem and provided a solution. After such a terrible experience at Crystal Lake, I was shocked at how simple and easy this was. Just a couple days later, I picked up my ring and it was perfect. It looked exactly like my original ring.nnI will never again return to the Crystal Lake location and highly recommend another location, such as Gurnee, where the team is knowledgeable, ethical, and trustworthy.

My experience was fantastic, the manager and his staff did everything to make me buy! I went to a few places in town and in Algonquin! The experience here was really outstanding!nSteve is the manager and he went above and beyond to make my dream ring for me. They explained that the wait for sizing was due to Covid and if I needed it before then they would be happy to help me with my timeframe. Mark is the older gentleman there , this is guy knows what he is talking about. He ordered me in diamonds and I was able to choose and pick out what I wanted. The first two I viewed I ordered rounds then after talking my wife she said she wanted princess cuts. Without complaining or giving me a hard time they said no problem and ordered me new princess cut stones In. I came back the next day and I got the financing through Helzberg and pulled the trigger. Giselle was the one who put the financing together for me it was really easy and quick! She was great to work with! I really wanted to give a positive review since some of these other people only post negative stuff. While I was in this location they were so busy but every person in that store left happy and with something. That was something I was paying attention to. My loved the new ring! 2ct princess dream ring made her dreams come true thanks Steve, Mark, and Giselle.

The day came that I needed an engagement ring. I thought I would shop a few stores and started my quest . The first store I went into as I got in the door was greeted by a young women who said what brings you in i said engagement rings . She then asked if I had there store credit card and I said no . Within a few minutes I was asked to open the account 5 times . And finally shown rings. And all she would say is how pretty it was no technical information. I felt like they only wanted me to apply for credit and not the main thing I went there for.nSecond place people were nice but no selection. I was fustrated at that point and I made one last stop at helzberg . I walked in and was greeted by an older man and he asked what he could help me with . We went over to the cases and he asked several questions about what her style was and what did I see her wearing. We pulled out some semi mounts and couplenLoose diamonds . We talked about the selection and price then he fired up the computer in the diamond room and put the diamond on a large screen microscope and explained every aspect of the diamond “4 C’s”and the ring. The manager came in to see how we were doing . Between the two of them I gained so much knowledge . I told mark I wanted to move forward with a purchase . He then with no pressure stated we had good finance available and explained the plans. I said let’s try . I got qualified for the whole purchase . The no pressure sales was such a pleasure. Mark and Steve we so nice and full of knowledge and that made the experience fun and i got a great product and a great price I would recommend the store and mark and StevenGene
