Placed non-emergency call about a hit-and-run damage to my parked vehicle outside my residence. Officer A. Wrann arrived promptly, addressed my claim, answered all my concerns/questions, AND tbh made me feel like she genuinely cared. Thank you NBPD!!!!
Police Commander Joel A Reyes is not a nice person. Police Commander Joel A Reyes makes a salary of $120,009.36 in 2014 in just pay (not including his pension and benefits) and he is rude to people and blows off his job. Two police officers arrived in the scene when my child was receiving CPR and had been for 3-5 minutes - with no success. One of them jumped in and started compressions- without any hesitation. His quick, confident and strong skills revived my child's pulse. They were incredibly sensitive to my situation as they gathered all of the facts about the incident. I'm forever grateful, humbled and impressed by their speed and ability. They responded faster than the ambulance due to proximity and not only eased some of my fear but actually saved my dear child (along with lifeguards and a doctor who happened to be at the pool). One word: HERO.
I have had many contracts with the Northbrook police department in the 40 years I have lived here. Yes, I have been on both sides, being helped and being the violator. In all cases they have been professional and behaved with courtesy and expertise. I have to guess that the reviewers who have complained on this board have forgotten the advice their mama gave them. If you are caught for a possible violation, comply with orders, be civil and keep your mouth shut. And if you are going to have a late, loud party, invite the neighbors so they don't complain.
