By far the best Mexican food in the metro area. Worth making a trip for the fresh chips and salsa alone. ..they are delicious!
I am originally from Texas and lived out in the southwest for a quite a while, so I think I know southwest and TexMex pretty well. This place is fantastic and I can't believe it's in Waterloo, IL!!!!! I was rather disappointed with the lack of good Mexican food when I moved to the STL area. (Granted, I haven't tried the places on Cherokee.) This place has no comparison though. Far and away it is so good I could eat it every night! And Tequila's does NOT compare at all. Sorry. Casa Romero is IT!
Awesome food. The best. Never a disappointment.
This place is great. The chips are always fresh and the salsa is delicious. I recommend the Burrito Oaxaca or Burrito Romero, but pretty much everything on the menu is great.
Cheeseless quesadillas. Chips and salsa are above average, though. First and last visit. Menu items are ridiculously priced.
