Martha's Place | Buffet and Catering

The buffet included many different southern style foods, including fried chicken, yams, sweet potatoes, liver, meatloaf, collard greens, mashed potatoes. The food was pretty well stocked while we were there and the fresh fried chicken kept on coming out. P.S. They also offer a military discount. The soul food was delicious. The buffet was closed due to the pandemic but we were given a large amount of food for $13. I will definitely be going again!!

Love it!!!! Best home cooked meal... Ive been searching for place for a good home-cooked meal. You will get your money worth. Hands down Martha's Place.... Oh yes, the guy that seve your food in take out, is amazing!!!!!

We drive two hours just to come here every time we want good soul food, been eating here for years actually. But today, I just did not agree with their service. We were not aware of the hours change. They now close at 5:30 and we arrived right at 5:00. They told us we were not able to sit down inside to eat since they close at 5:30. But it was people, not of color(not that that matters, but still) sitting inside that they said arrived right before 5(had just got their food) and they cannot have people inside after 5:30. Here it is 5:27 and we just received our food and those people that they allowed to sit and eat are still in here, after 5:30. I understand the rules, but please abide by them and treat everyone the same. Not everybody is that lucky at jobs and can leave at closing. I wish we could prevent people from being in our store at closing but it just does not work like that. We close at a certain time as well but we can’t just kick people out at 8:30 because they came in close to closing time. They can come in at 8:28 and we still have to allow them to shop. I feel if you are going to do that, lock the doors at a certain time so no else can come in. I rarely write bad reviews but this I just did not agree with. Maybe if those people actually had to leave at 5:30 like we were told, I would not be upset, but at least do what you say! And then we were told that the drinks would not be included because we were dining in, but since we made a big deal, the other nicer lady eventually gave them to us.

I hadn't been to a buffet in over a year. They had each person masked,use hand sanitizer and plastic gloves when you came to the buffet. The food was delicious and I loved the banana pudding!

Fantastic food! Bought Martha’s book. Inspiring! A must if in Montgomery, or anywhere near!
