Wow! hidden gem pub with great beer and food! Stumbled upon on our way up the highway & Glad we did. Doesn't seem so for a small town local bar but everything on the menu is homemade, and you can tell! The attention to detail was appreciated. Must try jalapeno poppers & nachos... Far from the standard frozen stuff. Our bartender was very friendly and awesome.. wish I remembered her name. She said 5th year Fashion merchandising student at Auburn. She was personable and made our experience that much better. Thank you all for the memorable stop which otherwise would have been looked over. If I'm ever in Alabama again, I'll be back ;)
Could be better on the service side. Food was pretty good but came out wrong. Service was pretty slow as our waitress was not very attentive and took a long time on most everything. Perhaps she was new so I'm happy to give it another try.
We were excited to experience a new place. Everything seemed fine, There was a lot of beers on draft which I was excited about. Our server was terrible. I had to ask her four times for a drink. She was really rude. The bartender was excellent. The server was an older lady who was really skinny and looked on crystal meth and Doesn’t deserve to work at waffle house. I’m a big tipper and a loyal patron to places I like. Sucks I had a bad experience. We ended up going down the street to little Italy pizzeria. They were excellent and more than made up for the terrible service we had just been subjected to.
We attempted to go here for the first time tonight. The man up front that seated us was very friendly. We sat down and waited a while before we were ever greeted. She asked if someone got our drink order and we said no. We gave it to her. While waiting, trivia night was starting. We were like oh awesome! I had never done it before so I was kinda stoked to try it. We waited for what seemed like forever for our drinks. My fiancé went to the lady about 3 times to ask her for them and the last time he was like should I just get it from the bar then? She had a bad attitude and threw her hands up. At this point I was baffled and appalled and told him to forget it and we left. It doesn’t take 20+ minutes to get a drink order out, busy or not. People that were sat after us got their drinks and orders taken. She could have asked for help or at the VERY least let us know she was busy if she was and that it would be a while. I’ve managed a restaurant for many years and was highly disappointed in this server. We tried another place down the street as we were super hungry at that point. We try a new place at least once a week in the area since we are new here. We hope to try again in the future but would never accept this lady as our server.
They do have a lot of beers to choose from, and the prices aren't too bad....nn.....but, the food was meh. I had the hot wings and the Thai peanut wings. They were small wings, and the hot sauce was plain. The Thai peanut sauce resembled what I think of when I eat Thai food with peanuts.nnMy wife's burger was dry, and they charged me for a beer I didn't order. Watch your receipt.
