Went here on a family camping weekend with us and both sets of our parents - paved trail made it easy for dog strollers and anyone with a wheelchair. Incredible buildings and we were all fascinated. I wish they at least blew off leaves and pine straw but it was still quite amazing. Fascinating regardless of your religion.
Really amazing experience if your a believer. The historical significance is profound dating back over a thousand years - all the way up to modern day pieces of work. Cost of entry is $8 per person and the total visit took 45 minutes. Highly recommended. The pictures do not do it justice!
Amazing place. I didn't know about this mammoth of a place before and only came across because of the grotto. It truly is worth a visit and the gift shop has lots to choose as souvenirs for family and friends. The commitment and dedication of a holy man is seen in his works here. Apart from the fact that this place holds much more that just the grotto. The Abbey, Summer Camp, Seminary and lots more. I couldn't fully get to absorb the place because of time crunch but surely knows that it is an important location for many of Faith
Incredible little gem! The detail was stunning. Wonderful stop to spend an hour relaxing and walking around the grotto. Gift shop has amazing cinnamon raisin bread made by the monks on property! Perfect bread for toast!!
The Grotto is a gr8 place to go on your own or as a group. We've enjoyed it twice recently as a group. It's like a little place to go and escape. Beautiful garden as you see Bro. Joseph's miniature buildings and cities. The Monk bread is good too. Very nice gift shop.
