Went kayaking on the lake with the kids. We all had a great time, definitely will return. Lake at its deepest depth is 96’ cool to know!

The state parks Dept. is lacking in personnel to open up in the mornings and they're capitalizing off the public by charging access fees and camping fees for a lake that already belongs to the Texas resident. The puzzling thing is that Choke Canyon Lake is a Navigatable Waterway located well within the boundery's of Texas and yet they offer no free public Access, this needs to be addressed by our legislators and Representatives. A TPWD sign posted at Mason's Point says it's illegal to ramp a boat there while the sign at HWY 72 says public boat ramp, I'm not sure about you but I find this maddening.

Great lake but the ramp was poorly designed, you lose sign of your trailer while going down ramp
