We came in yesterday to look for a fish that we haven’t been able to find in the area we reside in and finally found what we were looking for. However, we leave Sunday back home so we came back the next day whenever they opened to buy the fish. We had already explained to the worker what our plan was traveling with this fish. Same guy we spoke to yesterday, sold us the fish and got him prepared for us to take back home. (7 hours away). He told us he was going to get fresh water from the back to put him in besides the old water he was already in. He said it wouldn’t shock him because it was all pumped through the same system. That was a complete lie. We end up stopping at another fish place in San Antonio to have the water tested and they told us that Tropical Fish Haven basically just put our fish in tap water with zero chemicals. So thanks for killing a fish that we can’t get a refund for. I wish i could put ZERO STARS.

I went in here hoping to get the most information prior to starting a fish tank for my daughter. After an hour my fish died because they had told me to use tap water, the fish I purchased was saltwater. I called back to ask the man stated they didn’t have any control over that and that they assume a person who goes buys fish there knows what they are doing with their tank! If I went in there asking questions and I explain to the person who helped me that I did not know anything about fish how can you ASSUME I know what I am doing with my fish tank. HORRIBLE ! I would recommend going elsewhere especially if you are not a fish expert.

They've got pretty much everything here. From bread and butter corals to freshwater cichlids, you can find here. I LOVE that they post the arrival dates for all the fish. The plants don't look very healthy, but still better than any chain pet store. The coral fragments are very reasonably priced, and they even have fully grown fish for sale which is amazing.
