Good food, bad service... they are hella rude

I didn’t totally hate my experience but my husband I visited this place for his birthday. We’ve been here before and absolutely loved it. Our visit here this time however was not the same. Service was absolutely HORRIBLE. We were seated and was never approached until 20 minutes after being seated. Once we were helped we ordered immediately. We didn’t receive our drinks until after we were halfway through eating our food. The server was very negligent assisting every table around us and slow with our request. After bringing the problem to the managers attention she only took half off of one of our drinks. We ordered the premium mimosas which are 26. If you’ve ever been to the Roof you know that their entrees are minimum 25 dollars. So we had already spent 75 dollars without the drink she made half off.We were extremely disappointed in the service given and less likely to return if this is how things will be taken care of. The food was good though! That’s just about the ONLY thing we enjoyed!!

FOOD WAS AMAZING! Went for brunch and we all ordered different plates and we were super happy with the food and the service! I will say 2 things that we don’t normally order are grits or collard greens and we did here and they were amazing!! Must try! Mimosas were great and we’ll definitely go back again! We took our sisters which have very special expectations of food and they were amazed at how great it was also! Overall we loved our experience. We’ll be back!

Positives: The food was decent, the drink was great, the restaurant was decorated nicely, and the music was nice.nnNegatives: The DJ was too loud. My reservations were at 7:30 pm, but I waited 30 minutes because they didn't seat me or offer me anything to drink until my other guest arrived. If someone communicated that I'd have to wait until my other party arrived, I would have immediately left and saved myself the time and money. The service was poor and gratuity was automatically added.nnSuggestions: Please communicate to your guests that gratuity is automatically added to the bill. Properly train your staff on customer service. Lower the music volume. Offer all guests something to drink while they wait. Two women next to me were offered something to drink as they waited, but I was not.

Came all the way from North Houston and was NOT disappointed! The best BLACK OWNED restaurant so far I've been to. The service and scenery alone is a total vibe. The food was awesome, we had the lamb chops and the blackened catfish etouffee with the tropical drinks. Worth every dime to support! Even the manager was there,delivering services as well! Love it!
