Not much of a church to look at...I needed to go to church to receive my ashes for the start of Lent, church was very crowded, poor mass conducted, very rushed, church doctrine not followed correctly, little children going for communion, communion treated like a dinner appetizer everyone given communion but I sincerely doubt everyone went to confession first. Collection baskets not done properly either. One usher practiced protocol to the best of his ability. Some parishioners we're rude to him. No sense of community at all. Having said all this, there is no other Roman Catholic church in Jacksonville I could find. I'd like to go weekly but probably won't. I'm new to this area and learning about community. I am very disappointed I can't attend church the way I need to.
