We had a wonderful time. We went on a Saturday so we were able to see the Steam Engine which was a treat. It was so fun to see all the folks taking Video from the side of the road. Truly a Piece of History everyone needs to experience. I also would like to note how friendly the staff was. I have a mild handicap and they were very accommodating.

Great unique experience. Reasonable price. We went in January when there wasn't any foliage so I would love to go back in the different seasons. Just long enough to keep young ones interested. Enjoyed all the local and train history that was shared by the conductor and seeing the switch yard in action.

This was a great way to spend some of Saturday morning! Cars are well maintained and very clean. Lots of railroad history was told - very interesting.nnGreat trip for young families with kids.nnMy only disappointment was this is advertised as a steam engine train but our train was pulled by a conventional diesel electric engine.

We took my 4 year old nephew and family for a train ride and it was wonderful. The staff there is top notch and did everything possible to make our ride fun. Its not a long ride ( which is perfect for little ones), but its full of history so adults enjoy the ride as well. I would recommend this historic adventure to anyone.

We took a ride on the Missionary Ridge Local and the whole family enjoyed the journey. It’s a short hour-long out and back trip aboard beautifully restored coaches. Seeing an operating turntable rotate the engine 180-degrees for the return trip to the station.nnThe staff is helpful and professional, and they go out of their way to make it a memorable event. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves trains, history, or an out of the ordinary excursion with the family!
