Elder's Book Store

Ordered a rare book for my GF for Christmas. The next day I got a call from Elder's asking how I would like it shipped and if I would like any other shipping protections for the delivery. I own a small business and was of course too involved in my own day to know what I wanted. The seller understood this and a few days later I unpacked my well over protected book in Great condition. Thank You Elder's. She is going to love it!

There are some great old books here. They are, unfortunately, extremely disorganized. I appreciate a treasure hunt as much as the next person, but it really was a maze labeled with sticky notes and no real rhyme or reason. There are also random shelves with sticky notes saying you can’t touch some books, so I began to get worried I would touch something I wasn’t supposed to. The two people working there (an older lady and gentleman who I presume are the owners) were maskless, and based on the multiple anti-COVID memes printed and posted all around the store, it seems like they aren’t taking any of the pandemic seriously. There *are* jokes posted on the shelves, but in between there are tons of very political cartoons and memes, some of which are offensive. At least the woman spoke to me, but the man just looked and dismissed me.

Went on a Thursday not knowing what to expect. The moment I was greeted, asked if I needed any help. I browsed around and was making notes on my phone on the book, location so when I was able to come back I could grab what I wanted/need with no problem. The staff didn't seem to have a issue with me doing that and answered my questions I had. This is a little treasure chest for any history buff out there.i also enjoyed the little jokes posted on things. Dont real know why anyone would have had a bad experience here. If you aren't being polite and respectful of the FAMILY Business it is not a mark against them but you. Learn to be respectful, polite and you just might have a great time the second time you stop by. To the staff/ owners thank you and I will being back again!

A great find! These are rare and OLD books, anyone with half a brain would understand the contents of the books might be offensive, it is part of our history. I love books and I love old, rare books. If you're easily offended by history, this isn't your store. The owner IS very friendly, knowledgeable, and at times hilarious, just look at his responses to the negative reviews, made to order not a copy and paste generic response. ud83dudc98 keep being your authentic self.
