Hampton Inn & Suites North Charleston-University Blvd

We have stayed at this location many times, but this has been the absolute worst. We get to the hotel to be told that the type of room that we reserved had been given away, and the the hotel had been sold out for the night. They then offer us a much smaller room. It is now 9:30 at night, we are in a different city every weekend because our son plays travel ball and we were tried, the girl at the desk discounted the smaller room and then sends us up. After working all day and my son playing a late game that night we get to the room ready to go to bed and start early, because we have an 8:00 am game and 3 more games that day. We get to the room, room number 515 and find out that the shower has noooooo hot water. We call down to the desk and inform the clerk , they are unable to move us and states that we should write a review, and reminds us that we will get a survey after we check out. ! Me, My Wife and 2 children had to take a cold shower. This leads me to believe that our room could not have been clean if hot water was not available. We have been Hilton honors members for years, between my wife's account ( she travels more) and my account we have only stayed at Hilton hotels, it is almost impossible for me to believe that anyone, Hilton Honors or not, would be treated this way. I would like to hear back from a corporate manager to ensure that never happens again

I expected more from this hotel. Mattress was very soft, felt as if I was sinking. Paying as much as I did expected at least a 50 inch screen tv, looks like I had a 32 inch inch with a king size bed. One thing I can say, that room was extremely nice and clean. From the time I entered the hotel, got on the elevator and through the hallway, not a single piece of trash.

The front desk staff is absolutely amazing and the whole hotel is very clean and sanitized. My room was absolutely perfect and you can walk right across the parking lot to get some amazing barbecue. This hotel is nestled back off the road just enough where it is extremely quiet and pleasing

We had a Studio because we were staying several nights. Loved the room. Didn't eat the breakfast (smelled burnt). Room was 'mostly' clean. I brought my own Lysol spray and wipes. Staff was very friendly

Love Love this place. You could never go wrong with choosing this hotel to stay while traveling. As soon you walk through the door a nice fresh and clean smell with the warm welcoming smile. The rooms are spacious and clean.
