Research your camp site if your are booking blind. A few flat spots at the site rest was all hills. Office worker when i called said the spots i had were good and there are trees on the campsite. She was wrong we were on a hill and had no shade. Lake is beautiful great fishing tho.

We so enjoyed our stay at Hickory Flats. Sad to have to leave. The area is well maintained and patrolled by the Ranger. Restrooms were very clean but definitely need to be updated. Reservations are now required which I believe is new for that area. We called the office for reservations but they can also be made through TravelOK online.

Most beautiful place to watch sunsets....secluded and peaceful! Go every year!
