Black Rock Ridge and Resort is located on a hilltop high above Lake McAlester. I have been to the “Big Lake” many, many times. As I grew up here in McAlester. And this Lake was my dad’s favorite spot to go.nnBut, I never realized just how beautiful it is until I started coming here. Black Ridge is a great place to escape for a a getaway. You can also live here. It is very peaceful and quiet. The people who live here are friendly.nWildlife is everywhere. I love hearing all the birds singing in the morning, while I watch the sunrise from the cliffs. Roadrunners come by to visit you too. There are trails everywhere to hike or ride down. A basketball court. And don’t forget your fishing pole.nnCome check it out. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your stay here or even want to live here.

Nothing that breaks is fixed a timely manner. I was lied to several times by the owner. The place was nice until it sold to different people. The buildings are infested with wasp and termites and nothing done about it.

My wife and I have been living here for several months now and we love it. The views are amazing and we love being away from the city and all the noise. The management have been great, both Seth and Tracy answer right away whenever we need anything. I've yet to come across any dangerous animals, except maybe the squirrels that try to run me off the road, or that shifty looking turtle by the dock. When I saw the last review on here I had to thank Tracy for his efforts in keeping this a safe, family friendly place. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

This has been by far the best RV park for their amazing customer service. The place is so quiet, beautiful and family safe! Our dogs love the open space to run and play fetch with our supervision and we feel safe with our children out to play!
