Won't answer the phone... were stranded and homeless, trying to get to Texas to have a chance at a home... and no answer or voice-mail to get ahold of anything at dhs. Even called during supposed business hours. Ridiculous. What are they even being paid to do?!

They are there to help people who deserve aid and I dont usually like government agencies to assist low income families

Not sure why they are there except to hand out or take applications for services provided. I was asked if i had tome for an interview, I said yes. Was taken to a room where I thought I'd be talking to someone. The room was empty. She told me there was a phone and someone would be calling me and to answer it. My interview was over the phone. So why did I need to stay? The person could have called me at home.
