I am extremely unimpressed with this college. While I had a great experience with my private violin instructor, I found the culture at OCU quite distasteful. I can’t speak for every department at the school, but the staff (and deans) at the School of Music are not very helpful and can sometimes be extremely disrespectful. OCU desperately needs to work on improving the experience for students and making them feel more welcome. OCU also gives very lousy financial aid compared to other colleges in the state. Frankly, the quality of the education and the service for students is not worth a tenth of the price. Would not recommend.
Oklahoma City University is a very good University, and has a very good reputation around the nation. It's graduates are highly sought-after around the country, for business, industry, Educators, Etc. If you are looking for a place to go to college, this is a good place to choose. Their staff is high quality, and their programs are top-of-the-line.
My favorite college to see theatre productions at in OKC.
