Been here a few times and it’s pretty spacious. Music is at an appropriate volume unlike most bars downtown.
Established in 1888 and featuring decor from every decade since. Very chill atmosphere and good variety. Plenty of space with pool tables and outdoor area that is smoker friendly not to mention reasonably priced drinks. I’d recommend it for anyone visiting Raleigh for an off the beaten path bar with pool awesome atmosphere and a great sense of authenticity. Nothing pretentious and uppity about this place just a cool chill bar where you can relax and escape the city vibe.
Great bar with many tasty libations. There are 3 pool tables open to the public in Circa. The staff and bartenders are great. Right beside Boxcar and the Pit downtown Raleigh.
Shout out to the bartender on this random Sunday in December. Good looking out bringing me a glass of water (without me asking) after watching me solo an entire bottle of a very lovely and reasonably priced Malbec.nnThe atmosphere in here is quite nice and soothing. The music is neither obnoxious nor too loud. The billiards are slightly cordoned off from the main bar area so as to be accessible yet unobtrusive for someone who just wants to sit here and chill. This is probably the cleanest bar I've ever encountered. Cozy but roomy.nn10/10 will come again.
