Wow! Very cool museum. My two boys 12 and 8 absolutely loved it. It’s relatively small so I would plan about 2 hours to see everything. My kids loved all the robots and technology. The presentation on the slide ruler was fascinating. It’s a great place to take the family.
If you love science, particularly physics, you will enjoy this museum. I found it kind of interesting. Most of it was dedicated to the science of movement and part of it to image and video. It is actually pretty small, and you can easily get through it in about an hour. There is an extensive part of the museum that feature boat construction. I expected something totally different going there (like cutting edge tech, robotics etc.), but I still enjoyed it.
My family had a fantastic visit today at the museum. From the minute we walked in Beth greeted us and was the best ambassador! Lots of cool exhibits from robotics to the Polaroid experience and nautical science made this a great place to visit at MIT!!

This museum is a great place for kids and adults. It is a fascinating blend of a science museum and an art museum.nnThe kinetic sculpture exhibit is incredible. Other major exhibits cover ship building and the history of Polaroid camera.nnParking is not provided, so you'll need to use a nearby garage or the street meters.
