Asheville Cabins of Willow Winds

We loved our weekend at Pat’s Place! When you’re in the cabin, it feels like you’re in the woods but you’re also close to everything in town. The location on the willow winds property was spectacular, we loved overlooking the pond and being right next to the playground. The house was easily the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in. It was spacious and fully stocked with everything we needed. We loved the wood burning fire place and appreciated the firewood, kindling and fire starters all set up upon arrival. We’ll definitely be back!

This was the perfect place to stay during our trip. It was located so close to everything but still felt secluded and private. We stayed in Sandy’s Chalet which had 2 bedrooms, a washer/dryer stack in the bathroom, plenty of comfortable seating, a dining table, and a hot tub. It was well stocked with tp and towel paper, all the dishes, and plenty of towels. There was a large tin of shortbread cookies as a welcome gift, which was a nice touch. Check-in was contact-free and easy, as was checkout. I hope this place is available the next time we travel to Asheville.

My family has enjoyed the Willow Winds mountain cabins many times. Leaving them is an unhappy experience to say the least. On our just ended long weekend we were surprised to enjoy an overnight snow. The morning breaking showed a beautiful landscape! As we began the day a worker quickly removed snow from the roads and door steps. We were continuously restocked with firewood.nnThis trip we tried fishing from a small platform on the pond. I have tried fishing at home but never had luck catching fish. Sound familiar! But wow! In 20 minutes we caught 15 feisty rainbow trout. Released every one of them, although, we were allowed 5 a day for meals. Only the cold ended our joy!nnOur cabin, Colt's Cottage, is 50 yards from the Blue Ridge Parkway. A covered deck sports a hot tub and a beautiful, distant view of the town of Asheville. The NC Mountains to Shore trail access is 30 yards away. Willow winds has every accommodation imaginable including playgrounds for the little ones and a covered game room adjoining the office.nnStaff is always available, or, on call. Each cabin is reasonably private. The property is very pretty with a lot of water features and nearby trails. We were fortunate to get some snow while we were there, which made the forest look like a winter wonderland. We stayed in Tony's Treasure and spent a whole day reading books by the fireplace (they provide firewood and fire starters). Our cabin also had a hot tub, which was perfect. An incredibly relaxing long weekend getaway.

We stayed at Jen's Jewel and we were very happy with the cabin and the quiet private area where Willow Winds is located. We had everything we needed and the cabin was great! Jen's Jewel is very private but has a few steps down to the cabin, some others are slightly easier to bring stuff in/out to the car if that is a concern for anyone. Didn't get to fish the trout pond but just enjoyed walking around it during the short time we weren't site seeing or enjoying the cabin. One very minor thing for me, it would be great to have a spare blanket to use instead of the toasty comforter on the bed which can be a little warm. Definitely a 5 star rating!! ud83dudc4dud83dudc4d
