Awesome place. Our kids (9, 8, 2) had an excellent time sluicing through the dirt to find gems. Our guide Holly was so helpful and enthusiastic! It was contagious. I found myself getting really excited too. The rock shop was cool... could have spent hours looking and learning about cool rocks. 100% will go back.
This was my first experience with gem mining, and me and my family was welcomed with open arms. The owner is very friendly and accommodating to the fact that we had my 1 year old daughter with us. The gems were just as amazing as the experience. The $100 bucket is definitely worth it. The employee was also very patient and knowledgeable in helping us identify our gems. My daughter took to the owner so much she blew him a kiss on the way out of the store. All in all a great experience and I will be stopping in anytime I'm traveling through Asheville!
Staff was amazingly knowledgeable. Patiently answered all the kids questions of what rock they found with excitement in their voice. Made the mining very enjoyable. They also got a lot of fantastic gems in their bucket. Highly recommend.
Absolutely incredible experience. Experienced and knowledgeable associates helped us every step of the way and identified the rocks and explained how they were formed. 6 out of 5 stars. Highly recommend.
My three children and our friend had a WONDERFUL time. The owners are so kind and work hard to educate everyone on the rocks and gems. I have a 16 year old, 10 year old, and 3 year old. Everyone had a blast!
