I really wanted to like the drive in. I grew up going to the one by my house and this is nothing like it. The good, the music was great, traffic in was well coordinated, bathroom (port a potties) were clean and snacks were available and good. The bad, there was literally 10 mins of commercials prior to the start of the movie. A lot of the parking lot lights were left on, no idea why, there are giant ads right next to the movie screen. Apparently US Bank and MO Lottery paid a lot for advertising and finally the sound system for the movie was on low making it hard to hear. So if you like watching movies with the sound down low, all the lights on and staring at an ad this is the place for you.

What a great night out, after being locked in for a couple of months thanks to Rona. Schnucks and all involved, did a great job getting this place set up and though there were some minor flaws, I can see this quickly becoming a real thing in St.Louis and other surrounding communities. Plenty of space between cars and the people around you. Plenty of room for you to set up some chairs, tv trays or table and sit back with a cool drink and some snacks and listen to great music and catch a movie. The restrooms (Johnny's) were very very clean and the distancing for standing in line was plentiful.nGet there, have a great time.

Drive In STL is a great idea. Everyone complied with Social Distancing guidelines, wore masks when going to and from the bathroom. The sound was good, The Schwag were awesome, starting 15 minutes early!! The movie was The Big Lebowski showing that night. The movie screen is huge, the picture On the screen was really good. The sound was good too.nThe reason I am only giving it 3 stars is because of the set-up. I paid extra money for VIP parking. I arrived early, 5 pm, gates opened at 5:30. The VIP parking is awful !! I ended up on the left side of the stage in the 2nd row. NOT VIP in my opinion. Cars that arrived after I did, were parked center stage in the parking lot. From where I was parked, I could see maybe 1/3 of the stage. Vehicles in the front row were allowed to put up canopies, even though their rules say nothing higher than 6’. I asked the attendant about the 6’ rule and he asked” do you want me to tell them to leave”? No, I wanted you to tell them to take it down.nI’d go back again if they do it next year. I’ll just know better than to spend extra money on VIP.
