Unfortunately I had a very bad experience at Dr. Powell's for a routine root canal. I sought initial treatment here over the course of several months. I was in office 4 times, and each time I left my tooth would become re-infected. Finally they x-rayed it the last time and said it was cracked and to pull it. I was surprised and did not believe them so I sought a second opinion from another endodontist. Imagine my surprise when I found out the reason my tooth was getting re-infected was because Dr. Powell had drilled a hole through the bottom of my tooth, leaving it open for infection. I proceeded with a second root canal and the second endodontist tried his best to fix the hole Dr. Powell had caused. Unfortunately, a month later I went back and the fix was not successful. What's more, the second endodontist saw no signs of cracking or any of the other nonsense Dr. Powell tried telling about the tooth. So they lied to me to cover up their mistake. Also during treatment with them they just kept rescheduling my appointments (calling a day or two in advance of the actual appt and saying they had to reschedule for 3+ weeks out with no reason), refusing to see me sooner even though I was in pain and just kept throwing antibotics at me which completely messed up my internal system and did not fix the pain. I had to have the tooth extracted by an Oral surgeon who offered his third professional opinion after reviewing all my xrays. I would still have my tooth if it was not for Dr. Powell. I highly recommend you go to another endodontist .

I recently had to have a root canal on one of my back molars. My daughter had recommended Dr. Powell. I was impressed with the professionalism and kindness that Dr. Powell and his staff extended towards me. I was very anxious about the procedure and they made me feel at ease.
