I booked a cabin for a couple nights with my boyfriend and our cat to get away from work and school for a bit. We all loved the unique look and cozy feel of the cabin! We also loved the loft and all the windows for natural light in our cabin. The beds are comfy with nice bedding, fresh folded towels in the bathroom, and everything you need in the kitchen for camping meals. All the porches have string lights which creates a beautiful sitting area outdoors to enjoy after a day of hiking. The location was also great. We were nicely tucked away in the woods, close to trails, local shops, the lake, etc. Every cabin on the property is a little different and is well spaced out - you can do your own thing if you'd like or socialize with neighbors.nBesides the amazing aesthetics of Blue Moon, I have to give a shout out to their staff. Less than 24 hours into our trip our cat decided he wanted to have his own getaway and to our horror he ran out of the cabin and into the woods. We searched all over the property but there was no sign of him. The next morning we were supposed to check out, but we spoke with Rob who was kind enough to let us stay while we looked for our cat. Later in the day we ran into Ray who was working hard cleaning the cabins, but took time out of his day to help look as well. The staff even let us set up humane traps on their land that the local animal shelter let us rent.nBy night fall of day two my boyfriend and I were physically and emotionally exhausted. It was a tough decision but we decided we had to travel the 3 hours home to return to work/school and let animal control take it from there. A few hours later while cleaning up the cabin we heard a little meow at the door and in walked our cat as if nothing had happened.nI cannot explain the relief I felt! It is all thanks to the wonderful Blue Moon staff who showed a couple of strangers and their cat such kindness that we were able to go home as a family.nBlue Moon Rising certainly has a life time guest in us!

Wow - What can I say about BMR - It is really a spectacular getaway. We stayed 3 nights and loved the seclusion and peacefulness the grounds offer. Great walking trails and access to nature, just outside your door. The cabins are super unique (we want to return and stay in another) and very comfortable. What we liked about BMR was the comfort it provided, along with the camping feel. Dogs aren't just allowed but welcomed, so it was fun bringing our dog along so we could enjoy a getaway as a family. All in all, highly recommend. Looking forward to returning during the summer months as well...

We celebrated our honeymoon at Blue Moon Rising and it was magical! I was looking for a place where we could enjoy nature with limited contact with people due to Covid-19. This hit all of my needs! The staff were super understanding and helpful. We brought our own food to prepare and the little kitchenette was more than enough. I enjoyed walking the property and taking in the fantastic atmosphere. I can't wait to go back!

Absolutely stunning views, especially when it snowed! The place is peaceful and very private. The cabins are beautifully designed and interesting - everything is purposeful yet simple. Although the extras they provide are a bit limited (must bring toothpaste, toothbrush, paper towels, and shampoo - just an FYI to those who don't usually pack these items), it wasn't really a big deal to me as I usually bring it, and it's also because part of their mission is to reduce pollution. It was quite interesting to read about how parts of the cabin were recycled from old structures. Overall it was really a magical experience, a perfect getaway from busy life and a safe way to have a vacation during COVID. I'll surely be back in the future, everyone must experience this!

We enjoyed a white Christmas in Sugar Magnolia this year. A magical change of scenery for a strange year! We're pretty sure this new experience will become a tradition hard to give up.
