Fort Smallwood

One of my favorite places. The park has a good playground for 3-6 year-olds and nearby bathrooms. I believe that the beach section of the park will be closed the summer of 2021as they upgrade some of the park's infrastucture. There is a two lane boat launch ramp area with ample parking.. well away from the the playground. The perimeter tail is about 1.3 miles is mainly paved surface. During summer the picnic tables are usually all in use by around 8 a.m.

Very nice place to relax and watch the sun/moon rise.

Peaceful and simple park at the opening to Baltimore's inner harbor. I like the views of the bay and up close feeling to a natural spot here. Plenty of space for picnics and BBQs. Not crowded whenever I go in the winter months but remember it will cost a few dollars to enter so consider the $30 season pass for this and other AACo parks.
