Chesapeake High School

I am a junior at this school and I just moved here from the western US. Looking at this school with fresh eyes, it is very poor quality. Drugs run rampant (I probably get lung cancer simply by walking by the bathrooms), kids do not even remotely care about their grades or futures, there are no walls between classrooms (simply thin Styrofoam painted to look like walls), fights and horrible behavior break out randomly in the halls (and when it does, watch out), rules are not enforced, and many other things among these.nnIn the past few years I have moved a lot and none of the schools that I have been to are as bad as this one. I will admit that teachers are fantastic. I have never had this many teachers who are as caring about me and my success. It does seem, however, that they have all given up on the students who don't show that they care (this may also attest to their horrible pay).nnCounselors and administration, with my experience, do not listen to you. When I moved here when deciding what classes I should take, the counselor did not even look at my transcript. She did not listen to me or the things that I wanted either. I ended up re-taking several of the classes that I took all the way back in freshman year.nnIn the end, I transferred to an online school to get a better education and a better experience. Chesapeake High School is not my choice school, nor will it ever be.

There are many classrooms without real walls and no doors, the teachers don't care about the children and there is a lot of verbal abuse from teachers that is not taken seriously by the staff, some teachers don't teach the kids well and just care about their pay check, the school schedule is very early causing children to be late or sleep in class and there was only two bathrooms with 4 working stalls in the girls bathrooms put together. This needs to be delt with

I have not received ud83cudfeb at Chesapeake,I vote at this school. I see and hear that the school is up to par.

Love the lacrosse turf. However, the bleachers are a bit scary but doable.

I've had two children in this school and I for one think it's a great place. While not every Teacher or Administrator is the same I haven't had any major concerns here.
