Reviews

Comic book shops should be owned by people who actually appreciate comic books, or at least appreciate comic book readers. The owner here is never welcoming, and watches customers while they shop, like they’re trying to steal something! Her bitter attitude makes customers feel like an inconvenience. Maybe she’s been stolen from before-but I was there to enjoy a new shop in town- and buy new comics!! New books are never put out on Wednesdays, like she claims on the website! New comics on Wednesday, upon opening, is standard in every other shop I buy from. She even opened late one Wednesday, and still didn’t have new books! Comic lovers- if you’re looking for a new place to order and buy your books, don’t waste your time with this sad excuse of a comic shop, or its unfriendly owner.

Excellent selection, best used book prices in Northern Georgia, knowledgeable friendly staff... and the cookies are to die for!!!

What a great little gem of a find in Toccoa. A little spendy, even for a bibliophile like me. Organized generally but with lots of room for improvement. A bit dusty, but that just adds to the quest!

We happened to arrive as scones were coming out of the oven. They were scromptious! A really great variety of books. The clerk was super helpful.

Ashlings is a staple of downtown Toccoa. It’s got tons of character and heart, a great atmosphere, and so many good books. It’s so much more than a bookstore. It’s also a coffee shop, a meeting place for friends, and a center of activity. The owner is sweet and invested in the town and always looking for ways to improve the store. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The location is adorable.
