J.R. Rucker Jewelers

Went to look at some rings, and possibly sell a watch I aquired in the process. I was greeted accordingly at first. So I started off the conversation by talking about the watch and he became so rude about it I just left without even looking at or mentioning the ring.nnI believe had he known what I was ready to spend on a ring, he'd have been much nicer.

My husband was helping me out and went by here today to inquire about having one of my necklaces repaired (the chain was broken). My husband went in and told the gentleman behind the counter what he needed and laid the chain on the counter. The store clerk did not engage in conversation with my husband, but merely began writing up a ticket and said “it’ll be done tomorrow afternoon”. My husband, knowing the chain was not expensive to begin with, asked the clerk how much the repair would cost. Mr. Rucker replied $48. My husband said okay, please allow me to call my wife and see what she wants to do. Once my husband said that, the clerk crumpled up the ticket he had written and threw it in the trash. My husband proceeded to walk outside and tell me the situation and ask me what I wanted to do. He did not inform me of Mr. Rucker’s rudeness at this time, so I told him to inquire about buying a new chain and compare the pricing to the repair. My husband proceeded to go back inside and look at chains. He found a nice one for less than the repair cost, so he decided to buy it instead of pay for the other to be repaired. The clerk was of no help other than to make sure my husband to make sure to show me the “difference in quality between the broken chain and the new one”. As if we didn’t realize the broken chain which was a gift from a relative was of less quality than the new one.nWhen my husband told me this I was very disappointed. We always try to give business to our hometown stores /small businesses when we can, but we also usually receive the best customer service from these smaller businesses. Evidently my husband was the only customer in the store at the time, so there is literally no excuse as to why Mr. Rucker did not take the time to talk with him about options (new chain vs. repair, etc). At Every other jewelry store we shop at, the clerks are always SUPER helpful and accompanying. Zales, Helzberg, Cartersville Jewelry Exchange (to name a few). Unfortunately J.R. Ruckers will not be getting our business ever again.

We love the customer service we receive at JR Rucker Jewelers. You don't get that at the big mall or volume jewelry stores. They have unique selection and a great repair service. We took my wedding set and other rings for cleaning and repair - look like the day we got them! Thank you!

I needed a Christmas present for my wife who was into pearls this year. They worked with me to pick out just the right gift. They even custom made the earrings for me!. They were very helpful and courteous all along the way. I will definitely be back!
