Winn-Dixie Pharmacy

When I'm in Defuniak I go the local Wynn Dixie and I like the store. The people who work there are great and they have just about everything you want in a grocery store and each and every week they have something on sale and it's usually a name-brand item and there are a lot of good savings for the cost conscious buyer!! Great place!!!

I went to Winn Dixie Pharmacy to get prescriptions that my doctor has just faxed to them. I entered on a battery cart with my oxygen concentrator on and went to the counter. When I mentioned I was there to pick up prescriptions the girl said it would be 45 minutes to 1 hour. Now the store was very chilly and it wasn't only me as the girl at the pharmacy had her coat on. I said I needed to get them so I would wait and just looked around the store. After 1/2 went by I went up by the pharmacy to get a cup of coffee. The girl called to me and said they couldn't fill one prescription because the code wasn't there. I said wellncan you call the Dr. office? She stated she didn't know if they were opened. I said I needed the prescription and they were 45 minutes from my house so to please contact them for me. I understood they had a good working relationship with this group and didn't think it was a problem. She finally contacted them and said they would get back to her.nMeanwhile I heard her telling the other gal she felt like it was time to go home already. It was 5:00 she has 3 hours to go. At this time had she looked at the prescription when it came in it could have been straightened out as I was looking around at the store but until they were ready to process it they never looked at it. While I was there I only sawn4 people pick up prescriptions so they were NOT that busy with orders for the day. Finally they had my prescriptions with me only having 16 minutes left on my oxygen tank and needing to drive 40 minutes home and then the Pharmacy billed the wrong insurance and I ended up paying over $26.00 more than I should have. I called the next day and she wanted me to come in for a refund then she would rebill me. I informed her I was not driving 40 minutes in the condition I was in to do this. She said she would get back to me but I hate going there for prescriptions ..they do not act like your keeping them in a job they act like your interrupting their social time. This is no way to treat anybody and I'm surprised they even have people refill prescriptions there.......I'm a disabled senior citizen and I contacted them yesterday morning about the overcharge and they said they would get back to me with a telephone call. I just filed a grievence with the insurance company the way I felt I was treated. This is the first time I have been treated in this manner!
