Wow. So this LONG review is specifically regarding the pharmacy department.nnSUMMARY: Uncaring, incompetent and generally unhelpful pharmacy staff. Save yourself a huge hassle and go somewhere else.nnAs an end note, my family is switching ALL prescriptions to a different pharmacy after today, so I'll have to drive passed this CVS to shop at another. (If we continue with CVS at all)nnMy daughter needs (regular) medication that requires a consent form be signed. No big deal - we've done this many times. After several back and forth calls directly to the pharmacy at the store (not a remote call center or another branch), to verify the consent form was received, we were TOLD by the pharmacy staff member that they did have the form and the medication was ready for pickup (once the form is signed in person - as always)nnLess then 30 minutes later, at the store (pharmacy drive-thru) I was told the prescription is not ready and they do not have enough medicine to fill it - I could wait 2 days for it to be ordered, or go to a different CVS.nnWhen I asked why we were told that the prescription was ready, I was advised that I misunderstood the communication. I asked how 'ready for pickup' could be misinterpreted...nnThe following day, we went to the store to pick up the consent form to take with us to another branch. Apparently, there is NO way for a pharmacy to transfer a form of this sort electronically. We have to physically pick it up and deliver it. (We were specifically told this is the only way to transfer the form).nnWe contacted another CVS and verified they had the medication in stock. (It's astounding that no attempt was made by the CVS pharmacy staff to assist us in finding this medicine.)nnOnce again we drive down to the store.nnMYSTERIOUSLY, the consent form they received the night before is gone - vanished. They don't have it. The pharmacy person advised 'it isn't where it should be' and said they'd TEXT the pharmacy person from last night to try to locate it.nnAt this point the total incompetence is too much. We contacted our doctor, asked them to send the consent form to the other CVS pharmacy where we signed it and had the prescription finally filled.nnI cannot believe people with this level of (hate to say the word again, but) incompetence are allowed to fill prescriptions.nnSome jobs needs to be handled meticulously to insure as few mistakes happen as possible - you expect your pilot to know where everything in the cockpit is, press the correct buttons and to make sure all his communications are exact. That's a bare MINIMUM responsibility.nnA Pharmacist job is just as vital. As far as I'm concerned, compounded errors like this show a dangerous level of (again) incompetence.nnI am contacting CVS corporate offices to attempt to file a direct complaint.
I want to compliment the manager of this location Ron Williams. On Christmas Eve one of the busiest in retail Mr Williams patiently helped me in ordering pictures as I am not computer savvy. The store was extremely busy and the photo area was even busier. However he took the time at length and calmly I must say to ensure I got what I wanted printed along with my already large order that was scheduled to be printed that was done earlier on line from someone who helped me at home. Although pulled in many areas that day he stayed calm and willing to assist everyone as needed. He is definitely an asset to Cvs and I’m sure a pleasure to work for.
I had a horrible experience in the pharmacy department. Staff is very rude. I had an appointment and still had to wait 40 minutes. Don't go there for COVID testing.
