I have a friend that attends, whenever he wants..which can be a good thing. When I asked about the school, he says the teachers tell them to do what they want, as long as they do not disturb other students. It seems the teachers will not bother the students unless it gets loud. He will always text me when he is there, and he likes to socialize with the other kids. I don't think it would be the school of my choice because the kids are quite rowdy, and obscene, he had an old girlfriend coming on to him during the time they were there to learn! I would think about the Florida Virtual School..online from home.

Great school if you are in a bind and looking for people to be there for you and to lift you up to your highest standards. Had one bad incident with a teacher but I believe she is no longer there. Still great school if you are looking for a place to be an adult.

As former graduate class of 2013 I will admit it was very different from other schools. After a few mistakes I made while I was young I was kicked out of high school fortunately I was welcome at this alternative school and was able to get my high school diploma. I quit this school three times for dumb reasons but when life caught up to me I knew I had to better myself so once again they allowed me to come back for the fourth time. This school will help you but you have to be willing to help yourself if not your waisting your and their time as well. After almost four year of graduating from this school on summer of 2017 I'll be graduating again from FMIT with a good paying career and it all started with me taking responsibility for my actions and giving my biggest effort in Coronado high school to accomplish my goals.n-Yona

I have been a Student at this school for two years and must admit, it is not that bad yes it has it's days but so has every Lee County school, if you don't believe so it is because they have better resorces for covering up and burrying thier mistakes than Coronado high school, this school is a wonderful gift to kids that wish to graduate early, or are removed from public school systems but still wish to do something in their life besides waste it. Like the doors say, it doesn't matter where we come from, but where we are going. how you get there is up to you. the staff does the most it can to help all students and anyone who says other wise may have been abusing the system or being rude and abrasive with the staff, which btw most choose to work here and deal with the extra touble at a lower than average pay. These teachers are great to the ones who treat them with respect.

WELL HONESTLY I UNFORTUNATELY HAVE A SON THIER; THIS SCHOOL IS A GOOD THING FOR THOSE THAT NEED IT. THE STAFF ITSELF SEEMS TO NOT GIVE A HOOT ABOUT WHAT YOUR KIDS DO HERE.. KIDS USE ABSCENE LANGUAGE;DON'T LET OTHERS CONCENTRATE ON THIER WORK. THE SAD PART ABOUT THIS IS IT'S ALLOWED. I UNDERSTAND THESE KIDS ARE TROUBLED; BUT DON'T LET IT BE AN EXCUSE TO LET THEM STAY THAT WAY. I THOUGHT THATS WHY THIS PLACE WAS THIER. BY THE WAY A SECURITY GUARD WITH NO TEACHING SKILLS WAS PROMOTED AS A TEACHER. HE'S ONE THAT LETS THE CHAOS CONTINUE; SAD BUT TRUE.......
