River's Edge Communities East and West

Recently moved here, Melissa was an absolute peach to deal with and helped my fiancé and I find the perfect little place for us. The sunrises in the mornings are absolutely incredible, and the community itself is beautiful. We are both extremely pleased thus far and look forward to residing here for a long while.

Our nightmare began the minute we signed the lease.n#1- Upon signing the lease, we were informed that there was a termite problem. That is an UNDERSTATEMENT. There was a termite INFESTATION. Our things were constantly being covered in “frass,” or other words-TERMITE POOP.n#2- Our windows in the living room did not have screens, the toilet had poop left in it, and there were at least ten layers of smoke on the blinds in our “renovated unit.”n#3- About a month into our lease, we had visitors from NC, and both of our toilets broke AT THE SAME TIME.n#4- there was no heat. We moved in on a chilly December day with temps in the 40’s at night. We had just moved from NC, so we weren’t used to having to look for “heat.” Upon research, it seems like that is a direct violation of tenant laws in Florida.n#4- we informed property management that we could not stay any longer in a termite-infested, no heat, and absolutely disgusting unit. We were told that would be okay- we gave them 30 days' notice and paid rent until the day we left. We were told that our deposit would be refunded in 4 weeks. Yesterday, we were informed that we “forfeited” the deposit because we broke the lease.nWe broke the lease because we kept finding piles of termite poop, there were multiple structural problems, and we didn’t have a heat source when it got cold.nI will be contacting a lawyer, the Florida Dept of Health, and anyone else that will listen. I would hate for anyone else to be put in this situation.

I’m looking to rent here and wanted to know the total move in cost but no one ever answers the phone so I have to go down in person to ask

Community has revamped in the last years and new management.

We moved in back in August. Great Park. Very quiet here. Management is awesome they are available if you need something done. We are happy here. Great tenants as well. If you’re looking for place I would definitely check this out
