Don't listen to the other comments. Joel P Jensen is an amazing school. The teachers are amazing and really, genuinely care about their students and the education they are receiving. As for the students, there are those rambunctious few who only see the strict side of the system for obvious reasons. This school is not "ghetto," this school does not have "mean" teachers or principles. They create a fun environment for the students and they do their best to keep students focused on their education and future. They do their job, and they do it well. If you want your student to have a blast AND focus on their future, then Joel P Jensen is your school.
This is one of the best schools they really do care about the students they just put in a new floor last year and new air conditioning. Mr. legit the principal cares so much for the kids there he gets out and knows just about every single one by name . they have a special education program there and the teachers take really good care of the kids . Mr. Charon one of the special ed teachers started a program where the kids go to mainstream classes if they are capable of it and they have a peer student program where one of the mainstream kids goes to each class with the special ed kids , its great because not only do they help them but it teaches the kids about caring for those who need help . they also have a zero tolerance bullying program (which is why some of the kids write bad reviews ) and that is great because it teaches the kids it is not ok to bully others at all . like all schools they have their basic problems and unfortunately no school can get around stuff like that . over all i would say for an older school that this school is a 5 star school and i wish my school would have been like that . GREAT JOB AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Horrible administration, they do not know how to handle problems appropriately. They think suspending and sending students to ISS is the correct way to solve every problem that comes up. If you want your child to get a good education don't send them here, they'll spend more time getting in "trouble" rather than learning.
i only like that school cause all my friends are there lmao but jpj is a really ghetto school dont go there dont send your kids there
