FYI: If you are mailing an application in for a Birth Certificate you MUST mail it to the Dover Office! Even though the form list all three addresses and does not state that on there. I am trying to get my newborns BC so I can get his passport in time for a trip and when I called this morning to check on the status I was advised they haven’t even received my request yet and it takes several weeks for them to get the mail that went to New Castle County. I asked the woman who to speak to so that they could note this on the form for people in the future to not have to deal with this absurdity and she said she didn’t know and seemed annoyed with me. This is common sense, if it needs to go to one particular office then it should be noted. I’d love to meet the idiot that created this form with unnecessary red tape. I will also contact Christiana Hospital to see if they can note that in their personal instructions.

Can’t understand why they are making you make appointments if you don’t want to purchase your certificate online. It’s been almost a year and still nothing. Heck I can work from home to help them. Helen who answers the phones is a true gem.

They get the job done, but it seems like their credit card machine is mysteriously ALWAYS broken. Every time i've gone and everyone i've talked to says it was broken when they went.
