We love our national forest in Virginia, especially the Mount Rogers recreation area. We camp at Ravens Cliff pretty often. We understand the need to have some facilities closed during the Covid19 pandemic. However, state parks are opening their campgrounds now, and we feel like it would be nice for some of the smaller and more remote forest service campgrounds to open back up, if not all of them. People have waited long enough to use the facilities that we pay taxes on, and the worst of the pandemic is over. It's time to let citizens get back to enjoying their outdoor lands.
This sprawling series of non-contiguous land holdings encompasses an amazing variety of natural environments and topographical variations. Great hiking, biking and scenic drives abound. We especially love visiting this area during the fall!
This place is beautiful and a great location to get away from the daily hassle of life.
